Digital Reconstruction of District Six Architecture from Archival Photographs

In 1965 the Apartheid government of South Africa followed through on a decision to rezone the District Six area of Cape Town as a whites-only zone. Subsequently, the region was almost completely destroyed, resulting in a huge loss of South African Heritage. All that remains today are a handful of artifacts and an archive of photographs, all of which are housed at the District Six Museum in Cape Town.
